LAI Voon Wai has over 23 years of experience in the securities industry and was involved in different aspects of securities business, including initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, financial advisory and equity and debt capital markets transactions in Hong Kong and China. Mr. Lai was previously the Head of Investment Banking at BOCOM International Capital Limited from June 2014 to March 2017, managing their Corporate Finance, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisition Department in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. Mr. Lai was instrumental in setting up the Debt Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisition Departments in BOCOM. He was also at CCB International Capital Limited from early 2006 to June 2014 and was the Deputy Head of Investment Banking prior to joining BOCOM.
Mr. Lai graduated from Queen Mary & Westfield College (now known as Queen Mary University of London) with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering in 1992 and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law from University of Buckingham, United Kingdom in 1994.
